The bride and groom chose The Villa (now closed) for their ceremony and reception.  Claire’s vision for the day was to keep everything simple yet classy.  The main flowers used were cymbidium orchids and anthuriums in pale pink and white shades.  The five bridesmaids sported elaborate wrist corsages with pearl strands and the bride’s teardrop style bouquet included these same flowers plus mini arum lilies with highlights of strappy grass.  The flower girl carried a bead trimmed bucket with pink petals and the page boy scrubbed up pretty good too, looking remarkedly, (well, to me anyway) like a young prince Harry.  Robert’s buttonhole consisted of two mini cymbidium orchids.

Due to wet weather (the dread of all brides) the ceremony had to be moved inside, but this didn’t detract from the event.  The simplicity of a single orchid tucked in each ceremony chair sash reflected this couples love of getting back to basics.

Guest tables featured crystal candlesticks with scattered pink petals and each female guest was delighted to discover a cymbidium orchid wrapped with ribbon and pearls placed at her setting – continuing with the motto of ‘less is best’.
