Magical draping of the bridal table with Saris by the talented Brendan of Styled Events, and a palette of golds and rich jewel tones of ruby and amethyst. Elephant statues were used to hold the rings and on also graced the bridal table. They symbolize power, dignity, intelligence and peace as well as good luck and fortune.

The gardens at Newstead House provided the backdrop for this lunchtime wedding, styled by Monica Blinco (an amazing interior designer) and the lovely Di (Mother of Bride). Every detail, from the simplicity of the bride's single long stemmed red rose, to the statement floral in a large urn, and the bridesmaids 50's style dresses with fresh flowers in their hair to the deliciously simple wedding sponge cake with strawberries and cream, was meticulously thought out and executed with verve.

We used our translucent candlesticks with custom designed lamp shades and special lighting effects with a garden of flowers and foliage at the base (tulips, roses, hyacinth, freesias and dusty miller).

Drawing inspiration from the invite design we played on the bird theme - hence small floral displays which included faux nests with eggs which were placed on small tables and several large trees with flower balls that made an impact as taller features in the various rooms. Vases with red gladioli brightened up a quiet corner. Alchemy provided the inspiration for the colour scheme with their vibrant red chandeliers and blue walls.
